Racking and storage can be provided within the lower level to give maximum cost effective use of the area. Steel columns support steel main beams and a choice of deck surfaces are available to suit the application. Local authority regulations and various codes of practice, including fire protection, may be specified. Purpose built workshops manufacture a full range of floor tile types from a few hundred to many thousands of square feet. Both structural design and fabrication facilities are available in-house providing close co-operation between design and the manufacturing unit to give hands-on control over all areas of production. Skilled and experienced installation teams work with the minimum of disruption to provide a purpose built floor to meet your demands. COLUMNS Square tubular or I section hot rolled steel. SECONDARY JOISTS Cold-rolled galvanised. LOADING 2.5 - 38.KN/m², (50 - 800 lb/ft²) normally 4.8KN/m² (100 lb/ft².) STAIRCASE Fully welded all steel stringers and handrailing. Open tread type with steel treads. FIRE PROTECTION Ceiling and column cladding available to provide 30, 60 and 90 minute fire protection. FLOORING For wheeled traffic such as pallet trucks or point loads, specifically designed 38mm very heavy duty particle board. Also a choice of tongued and grooved ply, tongued and grooved flooring-grade chipboard, cold-formed steel planks, open-mesh steel, chequer plate etc. HANDRAILING Hot rolled tubular top and knee rails supported by square tubular hot rolled posts with hinged loading gates when specified. FINISH Industrial quality paint. Special paint finishes on request.
