Warehouse Racking Solutions to Boost Productivity and Optimise Your Space

Nowadays, efficient warehousing and logistics means embracing automation, but automation only works if your racking system is designed to boost productivity by putting popular inventory in easy reach of your staff and limiting the amount of time spent rearranging your stock.

A good warehouse racking system will also support your preferred method of inventory control – irrespective of whether you’re running a hyper-efficient JIT system or a more standard FIFO method for stock that spoils or quickly becomes obsolete.

Most importantly, a modern warehouse racking system has to make good use of every square foot of available space to cut down on wastage and improve the efficiency of your area.

Modern Warehouse

Modern Warehouse

We supply and install pallet racking, longspan racking, cantilever racking, drive-In and drive-through racking, coil racking and live storage racking. Whatever the size of your warehouse and the type of product you need a storage solution for, our experienced team can advise on the most suitable warehouse shelving system for your business. We design, supply and install every type of modern industrial racking solutions that balance all three of these concerns, providing you with a cost-effective solution that boosts productivity and gels with your stock management processes.

With over 45 years of industry experience, we’ve come to realise that this is the only approach that stands the test of time and enables our clients to run efficient warehouses that facilitate modern inventory management systems and processes.

Best in Class Racking that Goes the Distance

We are ideally placed to supply and install the very best racking and racking accessories for any warehouse. We spend a lot of time and energy ensuring that every frame, shelf, bolt and shim is made from high-quality materials with a high load capacity and our racking complies with EN regulations. We always use tried and tested products from industry-leading manufacturers when designing, supplying and installing racking systems and we are the main UK distributor for Kimer, the experts in longspan warehouse storage systems. Our manufacturing facility at Haverhill can produce a wide range of pallet racking accessories.

Racking Solutions to Streamline Your Operation

In an ideal world, warehouse racking plays an integral role in streamlining work processes as well as contributing to the day to day safety of the work place for everyone. Your business needs a well-planned and executed system that makes order fulfilments more efficient, reduces the potential for damage to goods and equipment and enables stress-free stock management. Each shelf is placed to make the best possible use of your available space. We make sure you are never in a position to stop and wonder why you don’t have a couple of extra bays in an empty section of the warehouse. A good plan must also take into consideration the comfort and well-being of employees. For example, an investment in soft flooring in spaces where people have to stand for long periods of time can help prevent foot and leg discomfort, as well as back problems.

Improving the Utility of Your Racking

We also take care of peripheral equipment and accessories to address specific problems. For example, pallet racking accessories can include anything from signage to end barriers and guide rails as well as anti-collapse mesh and pallet racking safety pins to ensure beams and inventory can’t become dislodged during normal loading to keep shelving correctly secured and safe for use.

There are a range of accessories available to create truly customised storage with built-in protections to support the operation and integrity of that system.

Racking accessories include:

  • Anti-collapse mesh
  • Column guards
  • Pallet support bars
  • Fork spacers
  • Drum cradles
  • Hanging garment rails
  • Guide rails
  • Location and load signage
  • End barriers
  • Corner guards
  • Dividers

Warehouse Fit Out Project

Warehouse Fit Out Project

A Proven Process to Deliver a Turnkey Racking Solution

To help you make the most of your space and find a racking system that boosts productivity and helps your business run more efficiently, we work with you every step of the way - from the in-depth discovery stage right the way through to installing your new racking system. We aim to reduce the stress of inventory management - and it all starts with getting the right system in place!

Our racking specialists will sit down with your team and work out what you need. They’ll interrogate your plans, analyse your blueprints and review your stock management processes to work out what sort of racking system would best suit your warehouse.

Racking Selection and Design

With a clear understanding of your requirements, we’ll put together a design for the type of racking best suited to your space. Depending on your processes and the type of business you run, we might recommend Pallet Racking, Longspan Racking, Cantilever Racking, Drive-In and Drive-Through Racking, Coil Racking, Live Storage Racking - or a bespoke solution custom-built for your warehouse.

Selection and Supply - Creating the Plan for your Racking Solution

After selecting the type of racking system that will deliver what you need, as well as any accessories and particular safety features required, we’ll draw up our plan and submit it to you for approval.

Commercial Sign Off

Once you have our plans in hand, we’ll work with you to navigate the sign-off process, working through the detail and making any final adjustments to ensure all your requirements are met. Then we'll agree a timeline for the delivery and installation of your racking system.

Installing Your Warehouse Racking

When the plan is signed off, we’ll start shipping parts to your warehouse and installing them in-situ. Because we only work with industry-leading manufacturers, you can be assured your racking will have undergone the most stringent of tests and we will install and build it according to the manufacturers' guidelines.

Post-Installation Advice and Racking Maintenance Service

Post-installation, our staff will be on hand to offer advice and answer any questions about your new racking system. With your racking in place and your warehouse fully operational, we’ll support you by providing ongoing care and maintenance services to ensure your investment continues to deliver value to the business.

Off-the-Shelf Racking Solutions

For clients who don’t need a bespoke warehouse racking system, we also supply off-the-shelf storage solutions. At present, we hold a large stock of pre-fabricated pallet and long span racking that can be shipped at a moment’s notice.

We also hold a large stock of warehouse racking accessories, and we’re more than happy to help you spec out replacement shelving or bays.
